question about upright strings

yes i tried the search function with no results

but i have a question about upright bass strings

i'm currently making my own Whamola and i need to know how long a 4/4 string is

please help me

Just measured a couple of Spirocores, they're 170cm.

the Whamola is a 1-string instrument
It’s a weird washtub bass-type instrument with a single D string on a stick, a pickup, a peg on the bottom like an upright bass, and a big handle that you pull to change pitch.

haha... you should throw a washtub at the bottom while your at it . Paul's signature should really say "fill out your profile" by now, so he doesn't have to waste energy proclaiming it to neophytes.

Perhaps he's struggling to find a whamoligist that emphasizes the jazz discipline?

While it will ultimately make you a better player, all to often, emphasis on the classical can compromise short-term results.
