Quinn Strinfinder can't get these, anyone help?

I've got a set of steels that came as spares with one of my basses.
I've entered the details in the Quinn Violins Stringfinder page, and don't get a definite result. But I suspect these are a common string, so maybe someone can solve it dead quickstyle.

Seems they could be Supersensitive Red Label (quite likely for cheap strings on a 'student' ply bass.)
Or they could be Pirastro Jazzers or similar.
I've never owned either, so I'm not sure. I know they're not Spiros.

So, does anyone recognise this description?

Ball end:
Flat sided, dark grey ball and dark red windings

Peg end windings:
G Brown/grey
D Dark red
A Black
E Green

Any help appreciated ... I might try them out on the carved bass.

Paul, these sound like the strings that were on a couple Chinese basses i've known.
Franswa will probably hip us.

Can you put up pix of both ends? That would help a lot.

The A is navy blue, not black. Looks royal blue in this pic, but a bit darker in reality. Many thanks for help.

Those are Pirastro colors at the peg end: brown=G, red=D, black=A, and green=E (at least that's how it works for Olivs, Eudoxas, Flexocors, and others). If they're Pirastros and they have a dark red silk at the bottom, they would be old Flexocors. Or new Flexocors. (But not Original Flexocors, which are violet/blue at the bottom).

I think.

Pirastro's color for the A is black, but here it's blue.
Pirastro's blue color ID is for B, so it could be a solo-tuning A. (thus B)

Several years ago, Pirastro made a string called "Jazz Bass" which had red silk at the tailpiece, similar to your pics. They were not on the market for long though.

The ball's shape is identical to Pirastro's.

Thanks y'all.
Pirastros then ... maybe JazzBass.
The blue A is much darker than in the pic. I thought it was black until I put it against that black b/g.

Maybe a solo tuning too, interesting. I'll stick em on and see what happens.

Francois ... can't remember, was it you who IDd the Ormston a while back? I though better of chucking it on the tip....

You're selling off your basses, Paul? I thought the Strunal was your main gig bass. Saving up for a new, yeah?

Just had a buying spree, couldn't resist.
Strunal was a great buy, but always felt a bit soul-less. I picked up the 2 old lammys just to check them out. Both sweet, the no-name wins on looks (figured rosewood board, oh my...) but the Excelsior sounds amazing. Rich, warm, booming and even. So that's my gigging bass now.

Can't justify keeping 4, so off they go. No-name next...
