Rabbath method for stringing the bass

Anyone has experiences with this method:

If you try it, please document the angle of the after-lengths before and after. With a flexible tailwire, there should be no difference in the string break angle and any sonic difference would be from the change in the tuning on the after-lengths.

I'll be interested to hear what you find!

Yes I did, however I did not notice much difference. Will try again with a different set of strings.

As Jake said, the string break angle will not change. Only the tailpiece gets up a bit and the vibrating afterlength will change a little bit. Hardly noticable.

Even with a stiff tailwire the wire will get bent over time to a new angle of the tailpiece and the old string break angle.

If you do this for only one string (and mainly one of the middle two) it will change, one string gets more pressure on the bridge and the others a bit less.
