recommended strings for solo playing in solo tuning

Good day to you all, I'm having my first solo recital in school around this october. My bass is strung with d'addario orchestrals as of now but I would definitely change my strings before my recital, In which I would be playing all pieces in solo tuning. In the past, Everytime I played in solo tuning, I simply tuned my current strings a whole step higher. Kinda stiff feel, considering that in my recital, I would have to play for about an hour (with a 10 minute interval).

I'm thinking of getting corellis as of now. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

It depends on the bass, of course, but I use the red flexocore solo strings. I have to say that they sound pretty damned fantastic on my bass.

Ask around about Pirasto Permanent solo sts. I have a solo E & A which I used tuned down to standard pitch looking for a hybrid jazz/orch solution. They bowed nicely but I never even tuned them up to solo pitch. I took them off after 2 gigs jazz gigs.I'd like to sell them. PM Me if You would like know more .

Check the classifieds, I just saw a full set of these strings for sale.

I just did my senior recital a few weeks ago on a set of flexocore solos and I can heartily endorse them as a solo string. However, my normal orchestral setup is flexocores anyway, so I may just be slightly biased in my opinion. I've used Corelli solos before and they just feel kind of weak in comparison. Not nearly as much projection or width of tone. They do speak and play much easier though, for what it's worth.
