Red Binding Strings...

Hey,
There is an upright at my tafe that i have played with really great tone and i think its the strings. I dont know what they are but they have a red binding on them.
Can anyone tell me what they are??

Red up the top or the bottom?

Maybe spirocores, spirocore mittels if its red top and bottom.

red down the bottom. dont remember the top.
