Spiro Mittel E

Pardon my naiveté as I ask this question about a Spiro Mittel E.

I recently acquired a fairly new Spiro E from a talkbass member at a really good price. I replaced an Obli E on my hybrid and left the Obli A,D, and G. I expected the Spiro E to be more growly, but not as much as I observed once installed. I like how much more stable and substantial the Spiro feels even though the gauge is the same as the Obli. I just can't tell if I am getting normal growl or unwanted buzz. I've played basses with older Spiros, but not new ones. Does this sound typical? If it doesn't settle down I will take it back to upton for an adjustment. I'm headed there soon anyway.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

How long since the installation?
There's indeed a lot of buzzsaw coming from that string.

Nice day,
François

Not sure of the exact height, but it is not as low as most jazz setups I've seen. I do quite a bit of arco with this bass.

Brand new Spirocores are unbearably buzzy.

Obnoxious.

A big rich round bass can transform into a buzzsaw banjo with a brand new string.

Work it for 2 weeks. Hard. Eat some chicken and don't wipe.

You'll be fine.
