String Choice

Anyone have a suggestion for strings for an early Engelhardt?
Only play pizz. Have Helicore pizz now. G & D not too bad but
A & E Twangy or almost not there.

Hi, and welcome on Talkbass!
Did you search the forum a bit?
Use the keyword "Engelhardt" (without the quotes), and you should already get several threads to read!

Regards,
François

Spirocore Mettiels. Great, especially on the low strings. Would work great on the E and A or you may want to try a full set. I rented an Englehart with them once, but more than that, they're just the benchmark strings for what you describe.

+1 on the Spirocore Mittels for E and A. I put a full set on a plywood bass and they killed. That bass was a cannon and easy to play to boot. Wish I hadn't sold it.
Ultimately it depends on your playing style and preferences.
