String ID help? Can't find in archives

Hey folks,

Can you aid me in identifying these? They seem to be going for a gut vibe, very loose in tension, etc.

They were on a bass played by a bluegrass lover.

Notice that the D and G are basically almost pure white.

Any help is appreciated!

Best
Matt

What do the retaining balls/loops/knots look like?

Hi Jake,

The ends are simply tied (no ball) with a black metal washer and then on top of that a separate green foam "washer".

If you click on the first pic you should be able to see a little better (hopefully)

Thanks!
