String ID question

I have dug out some old strings, and identified them all except one: D-string, blue winding both ends, black ring on ball end (covers middle third of winding). The ball is straight sided cylindrical with a "2" imprinted in one end.

Anyone know what type this is? Can't find it in Quinn Violins string ID list.
