String Ideas - Brighter than bel canto

Hi all,

I need help finding ideas for strings. I love the feel of belcantos but on this new bass i'm thinking of buying, they are just a bit dark sounding. Do you have any suggestions for a string set that feels like a bel canto (easy bow response, not too tough on the left hand), but has a slightly brighter sound?

I play only classical bass.
