Francois noted, if they're not settled in, give them time. I recently put on a set of Spiro mittels and the A sounded quite hollow for a couple of weeks. If you are experiencing uneven response/tone across the strings even after they settle, I suggest you have a luthier look at the bass rather than trying to fix the problem with an unmatched set of strings. Spiros are quite balanced as a set (the potential peskiness of the G notwithstanding).

Yes, the Evah regular and weich are powerful, punchy, dark strings. I really like the weichs. That said, I'd never mix either Evah A with a set of Spiro mittels as they differ greatly in sound (overtone series), diameter, and feel.
