String for "unbalanced" bass (DB forum)

Hello everyone, I am writing to ask you an opinion, not having found anything in the old Post. My bass is not 'very balanced. In practice, the E and A strings sound very much, a little less D 'and G definitely not enough.
(I'm talking about volume).

I mounted a few months ago a set of Pirazzi and I think the problem has been accentuated.
I wanted to ask if anyone has had the same problem with Pirazzi and especially if you know a type of strings who has the "G" string particularly powerful, so as to balance the lack of my instrument.

Thank you in advance!

p.s
I play 80% pizz, 20% arco, loving the old style jazz sound...

First step would probably be to bring your bass to a qualified luthier for a good setup.
Soundpost adjustment in particular.

What are the string heights? (measured between the string and fingerboard, at the end of the FB)

approximately:
E: 1.4 mm
A : 1.4 mm
D : 1.2 mm
G: 0.9 mm

Ah Ok , do you think should I put up the G. .. or put down the E and D, 'till to have all to the same level? Is this the point?

Thank you.

Are those measurements from the bridge end of the board? Or did you mean centimetres?

I meant in centimeters, from the end of the fingerboard to the string.
These are in inches:

E : 0.6
A : 0.6
D : 0.5
G : 0.4

IMO, your action is too low.
If you have bridge adjusters, I suggest you raise it and see how it sounds.

Too low? http://mdmetric.com/tech/cvtcht.htm

That's about 10mm G to 15mm E.

Yeah i was thinking that too. His string height shouldnt have any effect on this.

Tell us about your bridge. Can you look in your bass and see where it is in relation to the sound post inside your bass?

Can you give us your string length on your G?

Francois:
I don't think that my action is too low. Mostly E and A are quite high (IMO).

Violen:
The string lenght is 105,5 Cm (4.15 inches), and the sound post is about 1.2 inches under the foot of the bridge (G side).

Yep, sorry.
I got confused with your posts in mm, cm and inches...

Get thee to a luthier.
