Strings Died - What to replace them with?

Hey, I have a set of Corelli Mediums currently on my bass, and they were nice when I put them on about a year ago. The low tension was nice since at the time I was dealing with some tendonitis issues (which I have much more under control now). Back in the winter, I was doing a lot of university auditions (transfer student), and my teacher insisted that I should tune my orchestral strings up to solo tuning and back down for every lesson. I wasnt sure that that was such a good idea, but I went with him on it, and now my strings are deader than dead and they just sound awful. I need to replace them before I go nuts. Suggestions? I tried flexocores for a while at one point and I didnt really like them, but aside from that my experiences with strings have been mostly Corelli and Heliocores on my old bass. Thoughts?

I always like new corelli mediums. Mine hardly last a year though.

Unless you have an idea of what kind of sound you're after, I would stick with what already works. Corellis are pretty cheap so if you decide to change your mind later it won't be a huge deal. I've tried a lot of strings and they're still some of my favorite arco strings.
