Question Strings, strings, strings

Am trying to make up my mind between Thomastik softs and a set of Corellis for my 3/4 Englehardt. I'm a beginner, playing mostly pizz, and just experimenting with arco.
Can anyone tell me which string has the darker sound with more sustain?
Thanks

They are both pretty bright with sustain. I think Corellis bow a little easier.

saltydog: Which Corelli's?
The 370's (Tungsten) are very thin and easy to play.
The 380's (Extra Forte) are nickel wrapped and a lot like the Spirocore Weichs in diameter and sound but have less zing. When they settle in they have a solid ( sort of dark) sound. I used them on two Kays that I had a few years ago and they sounded fine. The Spirocore's seem to be finished a bit better than the Corelli 380's but a quick rub with some 0000 steel wool and the Corelli's were smooth.

I wouldn't call either of those options dark, not at all. Dark doesn't really go with sustain either...

Evah Pirazzi Weich? Kind of expensive though...

I think Corelli 380s are probably the better bet if you want darker sound.
