Which strings to use

Hi, I'm quite new to TalkBass and quite new to care about what I play on. I play on a Futura 300C bass. I play norwegian folk music, bluegrass/acoustic along with drums and a little rockabilly with slap bass. At least 95 % is pizzicato, but it would be nice to have the opportunity to bow in between. I want to have long lasting strings that are easy to play, projects and don't get lost in the mix with drums, helps me be heard in all-acoustic situations. My bass which I have currently bought, are set up with Obligato strings, and those seem to work well, but I haven't got anything to compare against. I get a lot of good comments about the sound; deep, warm, full. Should I continue with Obligatos or try others that may suit me better? Thanks!

I would stick with the Obligatos for now. Other alternatives would be Thomastik Superflexibles, or Helicore Hybrids. The good thing about those two is they are inexpensive for experimentaion purposes like this.

Rotosound makes DB strings, for those who don't know.
Among them, the Innovation brand, and their own.
I'm not sure that JoeCool is aware of that though...
