Taking the dive into gut strings

Should I go with guts? I currently play upright in a rockabilly/surf/psychobilly band. I'm using Rotosound RS4000s and a K&K Rockabilly Master setup. I love the sound but wonder if using gut strings would be an upgrade or a waste of a lot of money. I've never played on a bass that had them but know they're popular with the style. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Go with the guts. You will never go back. Lenzner makes a good set of gut strings at a reasonable price.

Thank you! I'll look them up. Do you have a good site that carries them. I'm always on the lookout for vendors.

Or if you are patient you can wait for a used set to come up for sale in the TB classifieds...
