Is there a better low G string than using a F# string?

The Dominant Solo F# string is pretty thick. Is there an excellent low G string that has the quality of Dominant?

You could try a heavy gauge A tuned down to G.
Maybe a stark Flexocor A?
Not much bass strings are available in gauges.
(Helicores are, but I don't like most of them)
