tune A- string down to G

I have my DB tuned in a hybrid manner G,D G and low C and I find that it works fine in orchestra playing, but not so much if I play something that needs harmonics on A string.
I have the A string tuned down to G but it is little bit sloppy, the strings I use is Belcanto G,D,and A and the C string is Spirocore w.
I tried spirocore A stark but it choked the Bass even when I tuned it down to G. I have been thinking if maybe a spirocore A mittel would do it.
Any thoughts about it?

I've used a spiro mittel A tuned down to G with relative success. It's a little soft, but not as soft as the bel canto would be.

You could use G from the Spirocore Red Mitchell 5th tuning set.

I have the spirocore G Red Mitchell set(weich) on right now but sometimes I like to tune it up to A. I tried to tune up the G to A and I found it a bit stiff.
I should try spirocore A mittel just to get it out of my system
