Does this ring a bell for anyone?
Thanks |

| | | These are not Spiros.
Spiros mediums have red silk at the four peg-ends too.
To determine the strings you have, note the four peg-end silk colours and try the string ID applet: http://www.quinnviolins.com/stringidfier.htm
Also be careful to see if there's a different colour stripe over the ball-end silk.
For instance the Obligatos have a black spiral over red silk.
Pirastro's peg-end silk colour code is:
G - Brown
D - Red
A - Black
E - Green

| | | | Spiros all have the red silk at the ball-end.
Solos have yellow silk at the peg, and Weichs is purple.
I don't remember how the Stark gauge is coded though.

Could be Flexocor, if we agree that ruby is red. |

Do your balls look like donuts, or spheres with two little flat sides? |

It wouldn't be such an issue if strings weren't so pricey. |

E- Yellow
A- Blue
D- Grey
G- Green |

| | | | The Quinn string ID applet confirms that they're Super sensitive Red Labels.
Anyway, Spiros peg-ends all have the same colour in a given set, so they're discarded right form the start. |

That's getting kind of personal, don't you think? |
