IMHO, one great tuner pedal! Easy to operate. Great viability. Bypass.

Yeah, we had this same deal last year at about this time. Took forever to get the rebate, but they eventually came through.

My final price on the Pitchblack was $47.80, I think, with a free power supply. My take after having it around for a year is that it's overpriced and probably overrated. I find it extremely difficult to use. I definitely wouldn't buy another one at that price. Perhaps in a different mode it wouldn't be so squirrely, I dunno.

The phony strobe effect is probably part of the problem.

You've had it for a year and haven't checked if you have it in the wrong mode? Chances are you have it in some sort of non-standard mode- it's one of the simplest tuners to use out there, and as accurate as you'll get without going true strobe (which are inherently harder to use).

You can find these for under $65. So do the math WITH the rebate.....which in my case came in a month or two last year. The pedal is solidly built, very accurate, has great viability on or off stage and like the Boss lets you power other pedals via a daisy chain cable if you want. If you don't like it return it.....

I'm referring to the display mode.

I use it in the straight L-to-R fake strobe mode and it's virtually impossible to bring the display up to center without showing sharp.

Tune down and try again.

Tune down and try again.

Tune down and try again.

Tune down and try again.

Tune down and try again.

Tune down and try again.

Give up and call it done.

If you're having an issue with how that display works, just use Meter Mode (display 1) like everyone else does. Works perfectly. And don't buy a Peterson Strobostomp- you'll go insane
