$500 Roscoe, Columbia SC CL

columbia.craigslist.org/msg/3436147654.html

If I didn't have a cat with lymphoma going through chemo right now, I'd buy this without having played it, just knowing the Roscoe rep and how much they're worth. This guy must really be hurting for cash.

I wonder if it's a typo; if he forgot to put a "1" before the "5." Seems too good to be true. I was *just* in Columbia for Thanksgiving too.

I sent him an email to see what's up as I'm about an hour away from the seller and can snag this if it's a stellar deal...

Looks like a Roscoe. It's an early model with a 2000 serial number, but a great bass for $500. Some of their tops cost more than that.

@TheEmptyCell I feel your pain. I just learned one of my cats has diabetes. It cost $550 for the test determining the diabetes, 2 other day-long blood glucose curve tests at $200 each, plus special diabetic food & insulin. (Not to mention having to give insulin twice a day to the cat.) I live in Canada with free health care. Sadly, this is not the case for pets.

Thanks for the kind words, and sorry to hear about your cat. Such is the life of crazy cat people I guess. Just gotta remind myself it's cheaper than kids, and don't talk back. Here's a pic of him, he was 23 lbs. but lost about 5 in a week from not eating. Lymphomas in his stomach.

No one has commiitted to buy a bass being offered for 20 or 30 cents on the dollar. Really is a slow market. :-)

I'm fairly close also. After 3 emails, last night, this morning and this afternoon, I'm giving up on it. No responses. At least the courtesy of a reply one way or the other!

Maybe he sold it to "Jefferson Marquardt," who promised to send his shipping agent over to pick up "the item."

You can now get it for $1199 on the Charlotte CL. Maybe someone on here got it and listed it? Looks like the same pics but different seller.

^^ Incorrect. The bass is now on Charlotte CL but it's still being sold out of Columbia and pricedd at $1999. I'm guessing the seller wised up.
