Same deal can be had in Dallas. I actually just got mine from Musician's Friend with the 20% off October coupon. Arrived at my office for $479.99 total.

Cool...I played it , I loved the looks..was too cool with the glossy neck finish.

I agree, the looks were the first thing that gave me G.A.S. for it. Second was the way it played. It's the cheapest bass in my stable, but plays well.

That glossy vintage tint neck is one of the best things about it. I'm not sure why people don't like those necks.

I love the pearl blocks and the binding on the rosewood..I just prefer satin necks.
