My 2cents on ebay auctions in the hot deals forum --

there are so many savvy shoppers now who use bid proxies that eBay auctions can rarely count as hot deals. Take this one for example -- it was still under $600 just 5 hours before auction end. But it finished near $1200 (and I really don't know if that's a good price or not). If an eBay item has a buy it now that is fantastic (like that workingman's 10), then I'd say that's a hot deal. But if it's just a normal auction, I'd say it doesn't really belong here.
