It's not out of the question that you might have a very minor case of serious brain damage.

I thought they were just an outlet for one of the chains...
how can they get the quantities they sell then? |

Also their prices -- as on this item -- are nothing special. You can do at least as well playing the discounts at MF and elsewhere, real online authorized dealers.
Do I sound unimpressed with Hello Music?

Companies often deal with outlets like this or Overstock.com, etc. to move excess merchandise at a discount. Nothing "shady" about it. In addition, most credit cards do provide some warranty or post-sale protection. Their return policy is just fine http://www.hellomusic.com/shippingandreturns.aspx. In the end, if you're not into it buy elsewhere.

Read what they say and tell me if you find it reassuring: So there's no confusion, Hello Music is not an authorized Fender dealer. Hello Music is an authorized provider of outrageous deals on amazing gear for our members. This item was actually purchased from an authorized supplier. As a Hello Music member, our concierge service will warranty your item for a period of one year from the date of purchase. If you need service that would normally be covered by the manufacturer's warranty, don't fret (bad pun, we know). Simply contact support@hellomusic.com and we'll take care of you. Hello Music will facilitate repairs through a manufacturer-authorized service center and return your product as quickly as possible. Of course, while it might be exciting to smash your bass like Paul Simonon, we won't cover intentional damage.

P-bass. They wouldn't come anywhere even close to $1,100 for this bass. I actually spent some time on the phone with MF's salesman (he really wanted to sell me one of these), and the best he'd do is knock his price down to $1,400.
If you can do better than $1,100 on that bass, I'd like to see it. |

Based on all the horror stories about FMIC warranty repair, I'd think people would be glad to get a guarantee like that. |
