Have to share my misery
On Sunday the Honolulu craigslist had an ad for a '69 Fender Jazz Bass crop up - asking $85!!?! I called the guy immediately, but I was apparently 5th or 6th in line. The guy knew he had a really awesome piece of vintage gear but just wanted it and a few other Fender bits (broken tube amp and a 2x10 cab) gone. I asked him to give me a call once he's gotten all of his offers to see if I can beat them, but I haven't heard back and now the ad is gone from craigslist.
*CRY*
I'm going to call him again today just to follow up. May pick up the old amp gear...
