Yep, just got my email. A good $105 off the usual $399 at other music retailers. And...first time buyers will get an additional $30 off using the code HM30NEW.

Sign up for email notices then you'll get the details--by email and visible on their site. If you dare.

Don't do it, man. Causes major, major GAS. I had to run from it.

I have been getting their e mails for a long time. I have yet to see a deal good enough for me to bite.

You have to pay shipping and you do not get any warranty.
I can buy used for less then they sell gear for, and new with free shipping and warranty for 5-10% more then they charge.

I don't see it. Are they already sold out?

That's simply not true, IMO.

They warranty everything but third party sales, which are infrequent. They've been nothing but bend-over-backwards helpful with return and customer service, for me. Also, if you keep your eye open, they often offer free shipping or $25 (or more) off deals, and when they don't, the shipping is very fair ($9 for the Shuttle 9.0).

No, they aren't giving things away, but I'm a cheapskate and have bought 4-5 items from them.......never a problem, regret, or felt that I could've gotten a better deal elsewhere.

YMMV, of course.

There is no factory warranty. Read their fine print. You can get clean used gear for less.

That is a far cry from a factory warranty. May as well save more and buy used.

Sure beats the NO return policy of most used deals.

Find me a used Genz-Benz Shuttle 9.0 in close to excellent to new condition, that's returnable (at ALL, if not for a year) for $504 to your door, no tax.

Ooops.......make that $415, with a clip-on tuner.

So the $100 off code for Hello Music isn't valid on some purchases

That was a good deal. I can find this Epi for $200-225 used all the time. Every bass i have seen on their site for over a year (yes I get 3-4 every day) and have never seen a better deal then used or even new. I got my MTD from Music 123 new for less then they had they had it listed for. There are better deals out there. You got the one good deal. But, Amazon had some great deals on that amp too and it had a warranty.

Ok....find me an Epi Woody in excellent condition for $225.....because I'm not seeing a single one under $300+ here or on eBay (including completed listings, too). Those are all used, BTW.....vs. this one, which is new, with a return policy.

Again, not saying that Hello Music are gear saints.......just that, if you keep your eyes open, you can get some ridiculous deals, AND I've had nothing but excellent experiences dealing with their service.

Don't want to buy from them? That's perfectly cool.

Peace.

What about a Woody Allen bass? How would that be?

They are authorized dealers for some products and those come with the factory warranty. For example, the Voyage Air guitars I bought for $300 that go for more used and are $500 new.

I got the Allen Woody bass last time it was on sale. My Gibson rep said he couldn't sell them new at that price.

Buying used, especially via internet, can be buying someone else's problems. If the product is good, a warranty isn't needed now is it? That's why it's been said to never buy the "extended warranty" on products. If the product is good, you'll never use it.

If you don't like shopping at Hello Music, that's fine. If you like buying used, that's fine, too. There are arguments for both.

I've gotten a few things from Hello Music and found:
  • Every product I've gotten has lived up to what it was supposed to be.
  • Price was good (even with paying shipping).
  • The CS at Hello Music have been very helpful via both email and phone.

Just to clarify HelloMusic honors the factory warranty on any item they are not an authorized dealer for. You keep the warranty info and if something happens that is within the factory warranty they will pay for the repair or replacement. So essentially you are getting a warranty with everything you buy there. That is in addition to the 1 year return policy. No used gear will come with either.

I emailed Hello Music regarding the Fender Highway One P bass I just purchased. They said they are not Factory Authorized but of course have a one year return policy. They do not honor the Fender Warranty. OK with me for a new bass at $585. Their response was timely as well. Seems like most items are ordered and then shipped to them thus possibly up to a 3 week delay. All OK if you know upfront. They are a great resource just do your research and use their coupon codes. Not all deals are smokin but if you add an extra item and get over $500 and then use the weekly $100 coupon code or the first time purchase code for $25-$30 off $100 purchase hard to beat. I have had amps in for repair to Genz twice with no receipt and they honored the warranty so another possibility with some manufactures with great customer service.

This is straight from their site. If they told you they won't cover it I would press the issue.

Hello Music gives you a 365 day Hassle Free Return policy and a Warranty on all products. Because we may not be an authorized dealer of some products we sell, manufacturers' warranties for those products we sell may be void or otherwise not honored. If you need service normally covered by the manufacturer's warranty during the Warranty Period, don't fret (bad pun, we know). Simply contact support@hellomusic.com or call (888) 240-0050 with proof of purchase from Hello Music and a copy of the manufacturer's warranty provided with the product.
There is also a more detailed page.
