Too tempting for me. I pulled the trigger. I was looking to buy a 4H or 4HH Stingray, and the Vintage Burst was the color I was looking for. So, I'll just take this as a divine sign that I was meant to get the HH

The interesting thing is that after the purchase I refreshed the page. They changed the price for the last one in stock to $1560. SO sorry to anyone who also wanted the deal.....

Congratulations. I have bought a few of these amazon deals and they were nice basses. The one I received was 8-9 year old NOS, but in perfect condition. Obviously, the double hums have not been out that long, so you will be fine.

Yeah, I am super psyched. I knew I was going to get some sort of Stingray in the next few months. This just made some of the decisions easier

The wife has Prime so she ordered it for me. Should be here by Friday.

Probably got a couple returns then or a demo. Amazon sells those without notification, just like guitar center. Still a good deal.

THANKS GUYS!! I'm working from home today, waiting for her to arrive via UPS.

Of course, now I need to sell both of my basses (Warwick RockBass Active 5 and Spector Legend Custom 5) to help finance my purchase.

Amazon EB MM Deals

Okay. Just did a quick search on Amazon, and as of this morning (4/15 @ 9:30AM) this is what's left (searched on EB basses, 25% off or more, sorted by lowest price first).

They still have an EBMM Stingray 4, w/ Vintage Sunburst, Single Humbucker, Rosweood Board for $1230. There are 3 left. The price will most likely go up after the first two have been sold.

My Bass just got here a few minutes ago

Unfortunately, the case is beat to crap on one corner. Not sure if that happened during transit (the shipping box didn't appear to have any damage) or if it came like that from amazon. In any case, I can live with it. The bass itself is totally fine. Not a mark or anything on it.

I'm technically working from home, so I can't play it until later. But I'll try to get photos up this weekend.

Dude, I would contact Amazon about your jacked-up case. They should do something to make it right.

Just got my my Stingray 5 a few hours ago. Woot! Bass and case are minty. The funny thing is that I wasn't even expecting to receive a case, since there is no mention of one on the Amazon site. Anyway, she is a beauty and feels great (nothing fancy - just black w/ rosewood fretboard, but that works for me!).

I'm working from home as well, but I couldn't resist playing her unplugged for a few minutes (hey, gotta take a break at some point, right?).

I can't believe that Amazon sells EBMM Stingrays at this price-point (albeit, not all the time, but still!). The crazy thing is that I often see used Stingray 5's for more than $1130!

BTW, regarding Amazon selling NOS or demos, that may be true in some cases, but I don't believe that was the case with my bass. I just heard back from EB and the dob is September 2009 (so perhaps semi-NOS, but not 8-9 years!) and completely mint (so unlikely to be a demo).

Anyway, thanks again for the heads up on this deal. I missed it the last time they offered Stingrays at bargain basement prices, and I wasn't about to repeat that mistake!

If I'm not mistaken, all EBs come with cases from the factory.

Yeah, after thinking about it a bit, I decided to contact them to see what they could do. They already got back to me, and let's just say that I am getting an even better deal that what I originally got, even if I have to cover the cost of a new case
