Ampeg Micro-VR Stack $200

Sign in to disble this ad
I don't know if it is a typo or not but it appears this site (which is an austhorized ampeg re-seller) has the full stack at $300 AND ampeg has that $100 mail in rebate....

http://www.hollywoodguitars.com/ampeg-micro-vr.html

figure someone might as well give it a go

Awesome! I've been looking to slim down my rehearsal rig, since we just rehearse in my singer's living room. This will be perfect! I just picked one up, will let you know if the order goes through... I may get two, having two 210s will be perfect! I could sell the extra head and break even!

Where is the link to the mail-in rebate? I couldn't find it on Ampeg's site.

Looks like the music123.com pricematch sale is still going on.

I'm going to see if they will match. If so, it puts the price of this stack at $230 ($130 after rebate).

I just spoke with Music123. They say this is only for the head (despite the picture and text). I'll call Hollywood when they open in a half hour.

I think the problem is that the Hollywood link says that the MSRP is $419.99, which is the MSRP of the head... not the stack... Which probably means that the Hollywood deal is a misprint.

I find it odd that they sell the stack or the cab, but you can't purchase the head.

We'll see if Hollywood honors their deal, I'm not holding my breath, especially since I still haven't received a confirmation e-mail from last night.

Hollywood confirms it's a misprint. They said since I had called they'd give me a special deal, but not as special as $300.

I was pinching from my "piggy bank" for this one! I'm tired of my 17 year old crate practice amp!

I'm taking the "don't ask, don't tell" approach.

I see they've charged my card, but still no e-mail confirming the order...

I see they updated the web page though.

I'm crossing my fingers they honor the original deal, and maybe I'll get a nice Christmas surprise... But, I'm not banking on it.

I think it's too bad... This really seems to be a much better price point for this stack to me. $600 seems pretty steep IMO.

I could maybe see $450 tops.

To Froghat: what was their offer to you when you called?

If you're talking made in the USA tube amps and cabinets, I'd agree with you.

This is neither... Made in China should come with a much lower expectation on price point.

I can pick up a 500W GK MB-210 combo for the price of this Ampeg stack. Pricing it lower keeps it more competitve IMO.

Let me re-phrase, Ampeg isn't inexpensive gear.

Just received a pricematch e-mail from Music123. I had sent it in earlier this morning through their website.

They're offering the stack at $299.99... Not including the 123%, but I think that's a good enough deal for me!

Still haven't heard anything from Hollywood
