If so, that may have been the greatest bass deal of all time!!! I was literally minutes late and missed it.

No, I didn't. Got it a hair cheaper using hm25off.

Steal of the year. Well next to the MF Ric sale.

By the time I checked out, I went back to look at it and poof gone. Had to be within first min.

Nice score. Enjoy that deal of the century!

There have been a few GC sales that matched that deal, but not recently.

I'm distinctly not a fan of the current American Standards, but if they do it for you, that's a fine deal on the prime color, not some screwy finish you can't unload later.

A couple of years back I stumbled into a GC to play around. Walked out with my 08 AS jazz at a similar price.

I did the same thing. My first bass was a '97 American Standard that I scored from GC for $550 brand new. She's still my main player.

Yeah, me too. Picked up a new '08 Am. Std. Jazz for $599.00. I could have gotten it for $499.00 without the case, but I went for the $599.00 with case deal.

Found a new Highway One P at a one-day sale for $475.00; and a used Classic '50s P in excellent condition for $315.00. Timing is everything...

They didn't give me an option on the case or I'd have probably skipped out on it and bought 2 of the basses. I still haven't stumbled into a stellar deal on a Precision. I'm disappointed I missed out on this.

There were only three basses up for grabs at that price.

The bass shipped today. Arrives later this week.

Finally arrived today. I have to say, I'm very impressed on the case. I've also never received a bass with plastic covers over the tuners before, but I also don't order too many new basses. Strap & cable included. I'm so stunned, not sure if I should even take it out for a test drive or not! But if I do, it will be tomorrow. Quite busy these days.

It's so pretty... and a maple neck.. Oh yes! (cell phone pic will do for now)
