What the $hit...I emailed for a price match and they said they were unable to match becuase they were the same company.

They do it all the time. MF, Guitar Center and Music123 are all the same company. For the record I called GC and they said they could match but not beat but when I sent them an email they did beat it by 10%.

Music123 sent me the lower price withing 15 minutes of me emailing them.

Cancelled my order with Music123 because the bass place has the TV 12 for $395. Called MusiciansFriend and got the TV 12 for $349 shipped to my door.

Yep. That is all I did. They did not look at the fact that the Bass Place would charge for shipping but I am not sure if they would overlook that every time. I think it depends on who you get on the phone. I tried Music123 first and they will price match but they base it off of shipping costs included.

Yeah, MF wanted to add shipping for me, as did 123. Plus I'm in CA so would have to pay tax. I ended up just getting it from the Bass Place, which charged me shipping but not tax. Still a pretty screaming deal!

Don't bother calling them back they are all out and aren't getting anymore regardless of what the website says on the particular item.

I think "The Bass Place" still has a few in stock though.

The Fender Bassman TV series are great amps. Get one while you can. I played my Hofner Icon Club bass through my TV Ten last night, AMAZING tone and presence.

I got mine yesterday. This is easily one of the best deals I ever got on an amp. It really sounds great. I had only played a TV 10 before so I was a bit thrown by the volume issue. On the 12 since it has a gain and a volume when using just one there is very little output. So you need to crank the volume to 12 and then use the gain for the actual output. Or vice versa if you want to push the preamp tube more although I found with my Glaub it did not really create much overdrive that way so I go with the maxed volume method. Very cool. You will be pleased Gary!

Just got mine today, what a killer amp! I do think that the original selling price was way too high, but Johnny & I got these at a steal. Built like a tank, way prettier in person than in photos, and sounds killer.

Johnny, have you looked into a cover for it? It's just asking for my cats to use it as a scratching post, didn't know who made good ones.

This place has decent covers for pretty much everything and they aren't too expensive. I got a Fender BXR cover from them at one time.
