Not really a hot deal - since I can't identify the bass - but is this person serious about this ad? It's been listed several times over the last couple of weeks.

This dude's been trying to find a sucker for MONTHS now. That's probably a cool Japanese bass for about $250.

That's not bizarre or overpriced by CL standards. Severed chicken foot in the case? Bizarre. Overpriced by 500%? Totally normal.

I'm truck-shopping at the moment and occasionally read my local CL listing for laffs. Last week, one guy had the gall to say his truck, which had about 280K on the odometer, had "low miles."

LOTS of these sellers are afflicted with teh stoopidz.

Probably clueless, and not evil... "Hey, i got a vintage 60s bass! One-of-a-kind!"

A couple of times, I've sent sellers links to Ebay ads or Musicians Friends listings, when it seemed like it might be helpful and instructive for the seller (and sent from an anonymous email account that I only use for Craigs List). I was nice about the way I phrased things, I wasn't mean or high-handed about it.

By the way, I think it might be a Burns (?) because of the steer horn shaped section of the pickguard (on the upper horn of the body). Just a guess though.

Haha, the price keeps going up... it was $950, now $1150. I'd say this guy is more evil than stupid. The CL police have already called him out a bunch of times.

Yeah I noticed the price go from higher to lower and now higher again.

I bought my National from the Goodwill auction site. It is Identicle to this one. $40 I paid for mine and even then I thought it was a little of a stretch! OMG!!

I talked with the guy. Really nice. He posted for some reason to - - I don't know. He had a story and it sounded ok. THe bass really is not $1150 nor is it even for sale nor is it even the posters to sell. Nice guy though..

Totally Serious. I guess he was having some sort of problem with a scam and they were trying to set up this person or something like that... The crazy things people do.. I personally have to spend my time a little more wisely!
