Not real sure on SB-12 pricing but this seemed good to me. I bought the 65 B-15 that this guy was also selling when he put them both up the first time like 6 weeks ago. Great sounding amp. The SB12 was sitting in the corner of the garage when I tried out the B15.
Seller was a nice guy, very reasonable price given the condition of the amp (retolexed, vintage JBL speaker, a little noisy). He said (as this ad does) that the amp was given a once over by Aztech in watertown but there is NO way that B15 had seen a tech in years. It still had the 2 prong cord which was frayed and missing the cap on the plug ends exposing the 44 year old wiring and the power tubes were two inches from death IMO. My tech's opinion was that any tech who would leave that kind of power cord on and amp for the sake of originality was just plain stupid. Anyways, I got the B15 for $500, replaced tubes, caps, cord, cleaned up the pots and wiring a little all for less than $200. This could be a similar situation.
On topic - good seller, selling a good amp for a good price. For anyone who is interested.
