Chip Todd is closing up shop, older model Peavey necks and bodies for bass and guitar

Chip Todd, the designer of the Peavey T40 and T60 is closing up shop permanently in Leander TX. He's selling off almost everything he has, and that's a whole lotta parts. Bodies, necks, some other odds and ends hardware wise (you'd have to ask him). I don't think the phone number listed works but the email should. I know he sold his lathe but he has other tools I'm sure he's selling as well (an hell of a spectacular mill, a powerful planer, assorted saws, mill and drill bits and what have you).

I hope this isn't a problem post as he was a business previously doing setups and modifications from his home as a retiree, but now it's official that he is out of the business and he's selling off personal assets (which technically they were before since he didn't have a storefront or employees).

I consider Chip to be a friend and he does do work for me (I'm trying to get a body finished before he leaves!). I have no commercial or financial stake in this at all. I don't know how to identify Peavey models by looking at the bodies, but he has a lot of styles and I've seen a few Foundation necks.

I have no idea what he's charging for anything but I do know he's already run out of boxes to put anything in, so getting him to ship items could be tricky. I hope I haven't broken any rules, and if you have a Foundation bass with a bad neck here's your chance to replace it. I would consider all sales final as he won't be around to replace anything and won't have parts anymore anyways.

I was not asked to post this, but I know he could use the money and doesn't really want to see all those bodies and necks end up in a trash bin. Thanks for looking!

And as a final note: If you already had something at his place for service you'd better follow up on it!

The address is on his website and he's having a garage sale to get rid of stuff this Saturday. If you ever wanted a 2+ ton mill that will work on everything from wood to titanium this is your chance!

Chip did some work for me and he is a great guy and is always reasonable on his prices. This sounds like a great opportunity.

I contacted him about a T-40 bass neck and/or pickups, he said he had none and seemed to indicate he never did due to disagreements with Peavey.

Really? I would have thought it was more likely due to them not making them anymore and a lot of the parts he gets from Peavey are seconds and tests (color tests, custom bodies, stuff like that). I saw a T20 neck in his garage earlier today, is that the same size?
