| Yah... craiglist.com is one of things that takes some practice getting used to. I found that the 'gems' are there.. mixed in with the mutts.. not always the easiest things to spot.
About 4 days ago I bought a '89 Peavey TNT 150 for $150 cash from a guy from another Calvary Chapel. He wanted to really get rid of it that same day, so he loaded it his car and drove it up to Anaheim for me. He even threw in two practice pads for no charge. That TNT is sweet.. I love the 9-band EQ on it.. the great crossover.. plus the clipping circuit. The next day I went right out and bought some massively strong casters for it (The amp is 75lbs before adding those).
craigslist.com can be quite useful.. the trick is you have to be ready to move quickly.. which means keeping some cash on hand just for that purpose. |
