Fender American Standard Jazz @ Guitar Center for $599.99 !!

Sign in to disble this ad
I read a thread somewhere in the bass forum earlier from a GC manager mentioning a dramatic sale on certain Fender American Standard Jazz basses. I am not sure how long this sale will last, but I went to the Guitar Center near my school and they did in fact have a brand new Blizzard Pearl Fender American Standard Jazz for $599.99.

I am all set on 4-string basses, otherwise I would have bought it myself. Considering the thing is going for practically half of the regular price ($1150) this is an absolute STEAL.

It is true. I was the OP and the thread was deleted due to it looking like an advertisement for GC since I work there. Tons of other deals too. Good luck!

Well I'm glad I found this. I've been looking through all the other sections because I knew I saw something earlier this afternoon. Just FYI, after I saw your original post, I swung by my local G.C. The cheapest '08 Am. Std. Jazz they had was one on sale for $1019.00 (at least I think that's what it was). At any rate nothing like your store is offering. I just bought an '08 P, or I'd be all over this. I got my P in sunburst, but debated long and hard between it and a Blizzard Pearl. (Sigh...)

My local GC doesn't have that either.
Where and how can I get that super deal exactly?

Looks like 'Tanker checked the Cincy store. I checked the Florence store at lunch and nothing special (10% Fender, 15% off Ibanez).

I was just at the store in Bridgeton, Mo. about 1/2 hour ago. They have a new American Standard jazz in black with a maple neck for $629.00(or was it $649.00). Thats still a pretty damn good deal.

Natick Mass GC

No special sale on the Fenders but they did have a Peavey Cirrus BXP for $400 and a Markbass 800 head for $1,200 at the Natick Mass GC.

I went to Guitar Center earlier just to look around for any of these crazy deals. Saw a brand new Bongo HH for something like $550 right when I walked in. Thought I'd walk around and see what else there was before trying it out.

While doing that, I got a phone call from my bass teacher and during the phone call ran into one of the guitarists from my band. Chatted with him a bit, walked over to show him the crazy Bongo price right in time to see another guy grab it and start playing it. That guy played it for a while and ended up buying it. A part of me feels regret, but a larger part of me is grateful -- I really don't need another bass and I probably wouldn't have been able to resist.

I just scored the Blizzard Pearl at the one in Dayton. It was listed at another price. I had to find someone to check it for me. They still had the black and maple for 599.

El Paso GC had two Peavey Cirrus BXPs for $449 today. Made in China according to the sticker on the headstock reverse, sounded great through the display MB2-500 and 8X10.

Yep, I scored a Blizzard for $599.99 in Houston GC FM 1960. I asked if it had a case and they came out with a new Fender Jazz/Precision case. Not the case it is supposed to come with, but at $599.99? SOLD! Oh by the way I went in looking for a power amp for loud speakers, not even expecting to buy a bass
