Not a smokin' deal, but not a bad deal either.

I checked it out a while back, and asked them to hold it for me.

I went in the other day to put some money down on it (to hold it until it was available to go home), and it wasn't around, and no one knew anything about it (the first day I went in, they were having problems with their system so, I'm not sure the mgr took my name down right). Anyway, they had a Fender V Deluxe Jazz that I ended up buying that visit.

I just went there again today, and it's back on the floor... Plays OK (could use a slight setup), but it sounds great... I'm sticking with the Jazz Deluxe though.

Sorry, it's a Tribute, natural in color, with maple fingerboard.

It's one of the "newer" Indonesian models, "G&L" on the bridge, not "Tribute".

Mind me asking what you paid for the Fender? I'm always looking for pawn shop deals. Wish I could run across a good pawn shop deal on a Fender V.

$329 plus tax on the Deluxe V (obviously, it's MIM, not USA). I had a $100 gift card from Christmas, so it was a no brainer for me.

It was the older model with the Suhr pickups. Sounded really great. The only thing I worry about is the neck. The action was a little high, if I can't get the neck a bit straighter after I bring it home (they have to hold it for 20 days), I'll bring it back.
