It appears there may be some twist in the neck. The Guitar Center I purchased it from informed me they put a small shim in the neck pocket and it seems to play just fine.

When the Master Volume is pushed in for passive mode:
The High Cut and Boost appears to work fine. I thought this should work in Active mode only.
The Bass Cut and Boost and Mid Frequency appear not work in Passive.
When the Master Volume is pulled out forActive mode:
The High Cut and Boost do not work
The Bass Cut and Boost and Mid Frequency do not work
The Pickup balance and Tone Blend appear to work fine.

Regardless of the above mentioned problems, this bass is one of the best sounding and best looking basses I have ever played.

I have to say, if it were not for this forum or this particular thread, I might not have known about the issues before making the purchase. The good folks at GC certainly did not disclose any issues until I brought them up.

My Ritter Raptor had electronics issues when I bought it, Jens makes a hell of a bass but he could use some better wiring and better potentiometers.

Thank you, Brad. Your analysis got me investigating the electronics right away. The sound issue could have been linked to the short also. Jens returned my last email to say congrats on the fix and wished me a good time with my bass.

No problem... glad it worked out. I think I mentioned, the GC tech told me the controls were "subtle".
