GC and SA apparently only buy in bulk when it comes to entry level isntruments because that seems to be their target market. I guess I don't know enough about that type of business. To me, there are two ways to sell; sell a few at a high price, or sell a lot at a cheaper price and get more repeat customers, not to mention more new customers by word of mouth. |

Trainloads of cheap guitar stands, terrible microphones and headphones, pathetic "lifestyle" crap, downsourced "entry level" instruments and amps, etc. etc.
I've been watching this trend for a year at least.
Real deals on real gear are all but over.

Real deals on real gear are all but over. | 15% is good on street price of mid to high end priced items if you can get it(MIA fenders, ernieball, etc)... but I agree in general this sale doesn't make me want to buy something. If i can get 20-25 on some stuff I might think about it as I don't really need anything.

| | | Anyone considering buying new may want to check out this thread and contact Skaught (Scott). His post is the 7th one. I chimed in on the 9th. I went this route and can tell you I saved more (a lot more in one case) than 15% from GC. 15% off of any single item @ Musiciansfriend.com!
Good Luck!

They haven't had a single decent deal at my local GC at those sales in years. Maybe a loss-leader $29 dirtbox. Sad.

| | | | Went to GC today because I won't make it to GC for Black Friday's 15% off. Asked them if they can take 15% off and they said sure. Well it might be only 15% off but Kudos for that. :P It is the 15% off coupon that says "15% off on Friday Only"
