Those particular ones are only 42" max.......I am concerned that my bass may be on the floor.......does anyone use THIS particular model with a 34 or 35" scale bass?

But it holds it from the bottom of your headstock.
From there to the bottom of an average bass is only in the neighborhood of about 38" or so, give or take.

I use the exact same stand for my Q5 and it is awesome. Best stand out there IMO.

I went to Music123 to see if they'd beat it- and they offered it for a whole $0.43 less

BTW Hercules microphone stands suck. My church has a dozen Hercules mike stands and they are always breaking. We sent some back on warranty and they took forever to replace and still have problems.

I am also not a big fan of the spring loaded mechanism that holds the neck. My experience is that if you grab the instrument quickly the mechanism does not unlock and you end up picking up the stand as well.

Love this stand. I've used one for about 5 years and it has taken much load in, load out, collapsing PA in the truck sort of abuse. Very stable as well.

Ditto on the Hercules love here. I have one collapsible one, two regular (curved neck) ones, and a wall hanger. Never a problem with any of them.

these and the ultimate genesis stands are both pretty great. much better than the cheapo stands, or, god forbid, the A-frame stands.

Not sure that this thread really fits the "Hot Deals" label, but I love Hercules products. For bass stands, I actual prefer this model though;

Had one- while I really liked how compact it was, offset basses just don't sit great in them, which made it too scary to use with no neck support.

This was a good heads-up. Just got mine as a result. Very impressed! Great build quality. Holds bass very securely. Puts those thin tubular ones to shame. Would be worth it even at the regular price - well...almost...

This deal is finished though........
