That's the route I was going to go, but when this cropped up it was worth it to me to spend a little extra for the piece of mind of new in box with warranty.

FWIW, there's a "as new" (still used) one on eBay for a $639 Buy It Now or Best Offer with $18 and change for shipping.

Great amp. I'm using my SVT 7 more and the Tube 800 is more of a backup, but it's still a great amp.

Did you get the 12% discount as well? I just saw the 102 combo for $899. That would make it about $800. I looked up the fine print and Markbass is excluded from the 12%. I'm in Las Vegas too, so I'm interested to know if they give you the discount.

I went to the store and they wouldn't give me the additional 12%. I went online to Guitar Center's website, and got both discounts there (Green Tag and March12). I ended up paying 856 for the CMD 102 combo.
