The reviews are crap on this one. This is is more trouble than it's worth. Maybe that is why they are blowing them out.

Meh. For $5 and free shipping, it's worth the risk.

That's what I'm saying...I just need something at home to put my acoustic on. I'd say if you're not moving it around much and can get the legs positioned where it won't fall over it will get you by. And at $4.99 it is cheaper than what I had for lunch today so if it sucks I'll survive. I don't plan on any guitar worth more than a couple hundred bucks ever sitting on this anyway.

But seriously I don't believe all the bad reviews because it says right in the item description..."These are the strongest and sturdiest tubular folding stands we've seen anywhere!" They can't just lie right?

I have one of those. Every time you take the guitar (bass) off of 1 side, the other instrument does a face-plant. Happened with my Ric, on a concrete floor. Luckily no damage, but my heart stopped. The Ric doesn't go there any more, but I keep a couple of cheapo acoustics on it. If you value your instrument, beware!!

Another problem with these double and triple style stands - sometimes, the headstocks can bump up against each other.

Agreed. Also, you get the same problem (including bodies hitting each other) when using the multiple guitar rack version that looks like a bike rack (all in a line/row left to right), when retrieving or storing guitars.

I have two acoustics sitting on mine on a carpeted floor and all is well (knock on wood). Not the sturdiest thing in the world but in the corner of the room and out of the way it is doing the trick (helps that my Ovation is pretty light). Wish I would've gotten 2 of them.
