Thanks for the info. I finally pulled the trigger on a Hofner 500/1 63 reissue. With the extra 20% off I got it for $1342, normally $2097. Now I have to wait for 2-5 days.

I used this code for a Used-1 (like-new) Fender American Standard Jazz. With the new Fender price drop down to $1,249 this "used" one dropped to $1,099 minus this 20% discount and the price dropped to $879. Though I haven't received my purchase confirmation yet.

The only weird thing, at least according to the order page when I was making my purchase was that it showed I would be taxed on the full $1,099 price, not the discounted $879 price. Once that it is confirmed if I am actually charged tax on the before discounted price (a difference of about $20) I will call to complain. I know, sounds picky, but I am anal about financial details. Everything needs to be exactly as it is supposed to be.

I had the same problem. I had to call MF to have the confirmation sent to me. I looked online and it showed the pre-discounted price. When I finally got the confirmation it did include the discount. It's great to be able to get an instrument that would normally be beyond my ability to rationalize.

I did this same deal and was charged $66.66 in tax on 879.99 shipping to Missouri. I ordered the "like new" sunburst/rosewood.

Yeah, they ended up charging me the correct tax and the bass is on the way. I ordered the Olympic white with Maple board Jazz. Congrats to us both on some great deals. I have purchased two 1-like new basses before from MF and both were basically new, could not tell in any way that they were not new, only that the packages/boxes had been opened. Expecting the same.
