Gone, and with good reason. Fantastic price for a REAL MM.

I bagged a new one for $329 when a color was closed out a few years ago and it's probably in my top five bass deals ever.

Did they make any Maple SUB's? Occasionally I'll see one on eBay for under 4 but they're always Rosewood.

I don't remember any maple fretboards with SUBs. The only one I tried had a tasty thick rosewood board, I was impressed.

I don't either. I don't believe they made them.

It's really unfortunate that people don't realize how close the S.U.B. is to the Stingray -- and in fact is a Stingray except for some downgrades, most notably the scary finish. Cheaper machines, slab body, two-band EQ, no case and the scary (but indestructible) industrial finish are pretty much the only differences, and they were made on the same line by the same people to the same standards.
