Music123 price match deals

I think this topic is more than deserving of it's own thread at this point. For those that haven't caught this in other threads: Music123 currently has a price guarantee policy where they will beat any price lower than theirs by 23% of the difference. For example: Musicians Friend was clearing out their stock of Ibanez ATK's for $199. Music123 had the same bass listed for $499. If you submitted the Musicians Friend price to Music123 for a price match they would respond with an offer of $130. Which is where this trend was started. These are the Music123 deals I've scored so far.

Ibanez ATK 300 Red Sparkle $130
Ibanez ATK 305 Black Sparkle $130
Warwick Rockbass Streamer Standard 4 String 1 Honey Violin and 1 natural $272 each
Warwick Rockbass Corvette Active 4 String $288
Schecter Studio Elite 8 String $423

The deliveries will finally start tomorrow. I think the ATK's and Streamers will be here by Tuesday at the latest. I'll post some photos when they get here.

I've gotten a couple of nice deals from Music123.com too...

Musicians Friend has the 5 string, honeyburst with rosewood board on sale for a couple of days, plus they matched Guitar Center's 15% off.. After all was done, it cost me $484 to my door. I think a few of us got that deal here and then they took it down off the site completely.

does anyone have a web link for the 123% price match? for whatever reason I can't get their "price match" script to work. I've tried from home and work with both IE and Firefox. It is acting like a scripting problem of some kind. Not sure if they have disabled it or what.

Thanks for the help. Need to get an acoustic for my daughter.

This. It worked early last week and then it stopped working.

They also took it down from the flash slides.

But...if you call they'll still do it.

definitely looking for something better than that. solid top at minimum. been looking at an Epiphone Masterbilt, Yamaha L series, Takamine in a few different models and Carvin. Haven't been finding many good deals on acoustics lately but found a decent one on a Takamine that I was going to get a pricematch from M123.

Got the ATK's and one Streamer today. Those ATK's are heavy beasts. One of the 305's is 11.5lbs. The Streamer is 7.3ilbs.

If you decide you don't need two of the ATK 305s, I'd be interested. I just missed out on that deal.

I have a Spector Performer Deluxe sitting here and comparing it to the Streamer it seems awful close.

The Streamer may be here tomorrow, so I'll compare more closely.

I got the Spector for $168 from MF a couple of years ago. It's OK, after a lot of bench time. It has somewhat redesigned "SSD" EMG passives, so it's a little better off than with straight HZs. I have it set up with flats and it's pretty acceptable.

If that Streamer looks like something I want to play, it looks like a good candidate for flats, too.

What kind of finish did that come with?

I know. That's why I didn't get another one. They're just too bloody heavy to use.

I like them as basses, but they're just boat anchors.
