It looked like an older one to me - still Fender Logo'd . although not like an early one.
I would expect a newer used one at that price.

I could be wrong - it happens all the time - Ask my wife!

Thats like an 84 or 84 squier SQ P bass worth right around 400$ give or take 50$ on condition.

I just sent the guy a nice offer if he was willing to give me the serial number and ship it to me.

wow--i'd never have paid more than 100 for that one--who knew?

what makes 80s squiers better than the newer ones?

I would not say an 80's squier is really that much better then a Classic vibe of today but they are a little, solid alder over basswood which is what a 350$ squier costs today, nice routes and no channel route between pickups, big 70's style tuners, thin poly finish and the best part is an amazingly nice neck.


The guy never got back to me, oh well.
