Pickguards and other parts

Sign in to disble this ad
I just picked up a black and a tortoise pickguard from www.azguitarparts.com and was quite amazed at the quality for the cost. The screw holes match up pretty well, but not perfectly, but if you're looking for a way to gussy up your MIM, Squier or SX you shouldn't look any further!

Obviously no affiliation, but I traded emails with Jeff and he was a great guy to deal with.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the info.

Just received the pearloid Jazz pickguard I ordered from www.azguitarparts.com. With some very minor filing to get it to fit the control plate it fit perfectly. Great price- $13.99 including shipping. Good guy to deal with.

What basses did you get the pickguards for (MIM, MIJ...)??

How bad off were they?

I'm having a tough time finding a tort guard for an MIM 4 string for a decent price. I could pay double the going rate to get a perfect fit, but not willing to right now. Would like a decent fit though.
Thanks!!

I tried it on a MIM body and it fit nearly perfectly. The holes even lined up, although there was a SLIGHT (and I mean slight) gap where it met the control plate.

Cool. I've seen slight gaps on more expensive ones.

I just order a tort for my MIM 4string FSR. Thanks Robert!!

Screw holes line up perfectly, but there's a huge gap by the control plate. Could easily be the way the bass was assembled.

I'm gonna see if Jeff can help. (Seems like a really nice guy with good prices. I wouldn't pay the 3x price which was my alternative. I also may fill the screw holes of the plate and move it. No rush b/c I may get an Audere for the bass.
