I also used the Musician's Friend "HEROES" coupon code to pick up a
T-Rex The Sweeper Bass Chorus Pedal, an
MXR M82 Bass Envelope Filter Pedal... and a
Wedgie Rubber Guitar Pick 3.1 mm medium @ $1.49 to bring my total
just above $250 and therefore move up from a 5% to 10% discount.
Now I'll be replacing my DigiTech Bass Multi Chorus which I actually think is a
great pedal for the price, but I'm typically a 1-setting "Set it and Forget It!" guy when it comes to my effects as opposed to the
wide variety of different chorus variations from the DigiTech. I've also needed a nice Envelope Filter for my pealdboard but wanted one a bit nicer than the DigiTech Bass Synth Wah or Ibanez SB-7 but quite frankly don't have the money for a boutique pedal like the Chunk Systems Agent 00Funk & Octavius Squeezer pedals which I had the same issue as the Chorus - much rather have 1 or 2
great sounds compared to the multitude of functions I'd never use on the BSW. The
Bryan Beller &
Uriah Duffy samples of the M82 displayed a
fantastic "bubbly, wet" tone that's what I personally look for in a Filter.
All-in-all a good day. Replaced the pedals I wanted to "upgrade" (and will sell them off to help fund these purchases) and for now I've got my pedalboard outfitted with everything that I can see myself using not only on a somewhat generic gig, but also something more esoteric and unusual.
