| Those prices are certainly good, and it’s a good amp.
The two higher ones match up in price/power to the QSC GX3/GX5, or the Behringer EP series (Behringer’s marketing dept change the names to reflect a higher number; the old 2500 is now the 4000; don’t be fooled by their listing the peak power before the RMS/continuous).
The QSC GX's have a 100hz crossover feature which is cool if ya want one, but aren’t designed to be run 2ohms.
The Behringer EP2500 has 30hz and 50hz filters, and all kindsa features (no crossover), including 2ohm capability, but it’s pretty heavy amp.
The Crown is essentially featureless, but what it has over the QSC GX series is it can go 2ohms if ya want that. Personally I’d never run anything 2ohms regardless, but there it is.
I personally would, and have twice now gotten the QSC GX-series amps both for my larger bass rig and my PA. Same warranty as the Crown, as well. |
