That's one heavy P-Bass. 48 pounds. I wonder what it is made out of.

I think that's insanity. People donate stuff to Goodwill right?

Just a little frosting on the cake for Goodwill. About 30 pounds worth.

I'd rather think it's a typo.

Ah, so this is where all the half-decent stuff winds up, anymore.

I knew there had to be a reason our local Goodwill feels more and more like a transfer station (i.e. garbage dump) every time I check it out.

yea i found this website a few weeks ago, goodwill stores near me had some decent things once in a while, now all the nice things go up for auction.

i wonder why a person would donate a fender pbass to goodwill, better off selling it and donating the money to a charity.

I’m thinking this is a wise thing for Goodwill to do for a couple reasons.

For one, this puts the items out there where more people can see them, instead of filling up stores where only those in the immediate area can see,

And if these items sell more quickly this way, they won’t need such large stores, saving $$ for overhead.

So long as the $$ goes to the same place, this seems like a good idea.

A friend of mine went to the Las Vegas Goodwill store and they had four or five sealed, new-unit Squier "Hello Kitty" guitars. He went in on a half-off Wednesday or whatever it was and got one for $60. Brand new. Too bad it wasn't a Batz Maru bass...

Where this stuff comes from is anyone's guess.
