I have never seen an F bass with a finish like that. Since he put the "F" in quotes, I wonder if it is some sort of knock off. Just a thought

Yes that is an F bass, a New York Model to be exact, especially made for the New York Guitar and Bass boutique, with heavier body, slab maple neck, reverse headstock, Hipshot tuners and solid finishes.
